Mural at The Wharf

Hello Alabama! Pandr is on a mission to paint a mural in all 50 US states, so when The Wharf asked us to fly East and paint two murals for them, we immediately said “yes” and checked Alabama off as our 27th state!

The Wharf is a major outdoor shopping center experience in Orange Beach, AL, complete with a movie theater, ice skating rink, selfie museum, restaurants, coffee shops, mini golf, and so many more cool places and things things to do, eat, and see. After taking a quick ride on the ferris wheel (!), we got to work painting two murals with the help of a local painter, @uhbeautifulmes. For the first, we pulled out some bright, bold, primary colors and installed a fun social media moment in the form of a collage of all things Orange Beach. We played with the same colors for mural number two, but this time did an interactive photo op with a marlin! Marlins are all over the place in Orange Beach, so people really loved being able to “reel one in” with this design.

This was a difficult project weather-wise… super humid, and on one of our painting days, pouring rain. We had to cut one of sessions super short as a result, but we were still able to get both murals done in just a few days. Overall, this was a super fun and friendly place to paint, and the perfect spot for us to install our first Alabama mural!
